Studying the Hallel Psalms with
Park Congregational Church –
SCHEDULE CHANGE
We are planning a two-part prayer/lunch and shmooze/study session in partnership with Park Congregational Church. I have been meeting with Rev. Erica Avena of Park Congregational Church to plan for a ‘home and home’ event in which the culmination of each event will examine the Psalms that are sung on Jewish Festivals and Rosh Chodesh, also referred to as the Hallel Psalms. This will be a primarily in-person event, although the prayer portion will also be on ZOOM.
The dates are Sunday May 18 at Park Congregational Church, 283 Broadway, Norwich; and on Shabbat morning May 31 at Beth Jacob. Both events will begin with (i) a prayer service at 10:00, followed by (ii) a luncheon beginning about 11:30 am, ending with (iii) a joint study of the Hallel Psalms at about 1:00 pm, with a contemplated end by about 2:00 pm.
