Simkhat Torah

Beth Jacob will be joining with other liberal synagogues in the area: Emanu-El, Bnai Israel, Beth-El and Ahavath Achim on Shabbat morning, October 7 at 10:00 am, at Ahavath Achim, 84 Lebanon Avenue, Colchester as we celebrate the Simkhat Torah holiday and mark the end of the annual Torah reading cycle, and begin anew. In addition to the usual Shabbat morning service, punctuated with an exuberant Hallel as we celebrate the holiday, the day marks the end to the Holiday period that began with Rosh Hashanah about three weeks earlier.  We will have hakafot, dancing with the Torahs, and a Kiddush following, and ending about Noon, with all being available on ZOOM as well.
