President’s Message:
As endorsed by the Board of Directors on October 20, 2015, effective November 1, 2015, weekly scheduled services at Beth Jacob Synagogue are as follows:
Thursday Morning Minyan at 7:25AM
Friday Kabbalat Shabbat Service at 6:00PM (or at other announced time)
Saturday Morning Shabbat Service at 9:00AM.
Services, on other days, for life-cycle occasions may be scheduled with the office upon request.
Please call the office at 860-886-2459 to request a minyan date. The synagogue will send out an email announcement advising of the minyan request, yet please note that in order to guarantee a minyan, members should always make calls on their to own, supplementing the synagogue email announcement.
In addition, I am pleased to announce that effective November 1, 2015 Rav Julius will be available in his office each Wednesday from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and Thursday evenings between 6:00PM and 8:00PM for consultation with and visits from congregants to discuss any subject with the Rabbi. While “walk-ins” are welcome, a courtesy call to schedule an appointment would be helpful, as some of these hours are subject to the Rabbi’s need to attend meetings and other community events outside the synagogue building. In addition, other programming for Wednesday afternoon/evening is under development and will be announced at a future date.
